Thai man busted watching porn at Apple retailer; turns out he’s done the same at three other stores (VIDEO)

A Thai man who went viral yesterday after getting busted watching porn on a Macbook in a crowded computer store appears to be a serial offender, if an informal survey of neighborhood computer shops we conducted is any indication.

In CCTV footage posted on Facebook, the mystery shopper can be seen casually watching clips of a woman masturbating at a Studio 7 in Buriram province, all while bystanders, including teen girls, walk past and could have easily seen him in action.

Aside from occasionally stroking his hair, he appears decidedly calm and unphased, right up until a male store employee catches a glimpse of his screen and kicks him out of the store.

The incident happened inside Thawikit Supercenter, a major shopping mall in Buriram.

“He’s a regular here,” a Studio 7 branch manager, who requested anonymity, told Coconuts Bangkok this morning. “I think we see him just about every day.”

As if that’s not enough, in the seven months since the store opened, the guy hasn’t bought a single item — every retail store’s worst nightmare.

Acting on a hunch, Coconuts Bangkok started calling around to other computer shops in the area, and it soon became clear it wasn’t the mystery man’s first rodeo.

In fact, the manager of another Studio 7 banch alleged that the man’s regular drop-ins were “common knowledge” and already “an ongoing discussion” among area stores that have test models available for public use.

“He was actually just here yesterday” the manager of Robinson’s Studio 7 branch said with a chuckle. “He was standing in front of a laptop for a long time, but I didn’t dare look at his screen or talk to him.”

That was the general consensus among employees at the three additional stores Coconuts confirmed he had taken his act to. It appears nobody wanted to be the one to stop him, although they are well-aware of what he’s doing.

“He’s a customer, what could I even say to him?” reasoned an employee at Powerbuy.

The manager of Studio 7 at Thawikit Supercenter branch, meanwhile, went so far to say she feels unsafe when he’s around.

“I’m the only female employee here,” she said wearily. “What if he attacks me when I’m alone?”

She has allegedly reported her concerns to upper management, but at press time had not yet heard back.

No legal, or even managerial, action has been taken thus far.

For the moment at least, employees are left feeling they have “no choice” but to continue welcoming the window-shopping-porn-watcher — or dreading his next visit.
