Lottery officials announced that, starting today, players in Bangkok can use a drive-thru service to process their winnings.
At the drive-thru located in northeastern metro Bangkok, up to 30 recipients a day can provide their bank information to have the money transferred to their accounts, according to Lt. Col. Nhun Sansanakom, director of the Government Lottery Office.
Someone answering the lottery call center this morning said that a physical bank book was not required but people would have to notify agents of their bank account number verbally or in writing.
The drive-thru service runs from 7:30am to 3pm on weekdays. Currently, only one location offers the service: the Government Lottery Office on Sanam Bin Nam Road in Nonthaburi province. More information is available via 02-528-9999.
