Thai-Japanese Friendship Bridge to close for maintenance

Full access to the Thai-Japan Friendship Bridge on Rama IV Road between Sam Yan and Sala Daeng will be unavailable for the rest of the year.

The bridge closes tomorrow for 46 days of renovation, during which only one lane will remain open, according to an announcement yesterday from the Public Works Department.

Full service is scheduled to resume Dec. 30. Only one lane to will be opened during the renovation.

 

Also, three more bridges to be closed for renovation this year include the Yommalad, Ratchathewi and Pratunam bridges.

Meanwhile closure of the Asoke-Petchburi bridge originally scheduled for this year, will be postponed to the next, Sanook reported.
