Thai government handing out free flu vaccinations this week

According to the Nation, the Thai government will begin handing out free flu vaccinations, starting today.

The vaccinations are intended to help bolster the health of some 3.5 million Thai citizens who are at high risk for flu. Those being targeted for vaccination include citizens responsible for the handling and disposal of poultry, citizens under the age of 12 and citizens over the age of 65.

Between May 7 and 31, the government will offer these free immunizations at public and private hospitals taking part in the THB30 national healthcare scheme.
