‘Til death do us part, right?

While there are plenty of unique wedding themes out there for brides and grooms, one Thai couple captured the apocalyptic moment with a coffin, crematorium and raging funeral pyre.

A pre-wedding shoot themed Love Beyond Death went viral yesterday with more than 33,000 shares. In them, the bride- and groom-to-be wear white wedding attire and pose with unusual props such as a wreath, lotus blossoms, white strings and sandalwood flowers – things commonly seen at Thai funeral rites.

While some criticized the couple for inviting bad luck into their nuptials, others applauded their idiosyncratic creativity.

Going goth has proven a hit before. In 2015, Singaporean couple Jenny Tay and Darren Cheng inflamed the net with images of them lying in a coffin together. “Death is a part of life and shouldn’t be seen as taboo,” Tay told the BBC.
