Kantapong can be seen running after him.

Today, Pol. Col. Krisana Pattanacharoen, the Royal Thai Police’s deputy spokesman, apologized to the victim’s family on behalf of Kantapong, reported Sanook.

“On behalf of the Royal Thai police, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the victim’s family and apologize on behalf of Kantapong. This is something we could never foresee,” he said.

“I know this will affect many tourists’ view on the Thai police, but we’d like to say that we have not stood by idly. We will quickly prosecute the responsible party.”

He also added that the second person seen on CCTV with Kantapong has been determined to not be an accomplice as he has not committed any crimes.
