There’s a sliding scale of busker appreciation/annoyance that ranges from “talented violinist” to “hippies playing acoustic Nirvana” to the ugly world of mimes.
If you’re wondering, however, where the scale bottoms out, we can safely say it’s with this Chiang Mai busker, who was arrested after CCTV cameras caught him masturbating in front of a female tourist in broad daylight yesterday.
Chiang Mai police this morning arrested 54-year-old guitarist Anusorn Keraket near the scene of his most recent crime, which took place at about noon yesterday on Ratchapakhinai Road in Meaung district, in the center of Chiang Mai.
The arrest followed his alleged victim filing a police report about a man matching Anusorn’s description who she said masturbated in front of her.
Police were not particularly surprised when CCTV footage proved the woman true as Anusorn is allegedly a serial offender, according to Spring News.
Local authorities have received multiple complaints about Anusorn walking around the area wearing nothing but white pants, holding a guitar and occasionally showing his genitals to Thai and foreign tourists alike, per Channel Three News.
Upon the arrest, Anusorn admitted to to masturbating in front of the tourists because “he was horny.” Points for honesty.
He has been charged with indecent exposure. Sleep well tonight, Chiang Mai. The masturbating guitarist is safely behind bars.
