A would-be Thai bride has gone viral after live-streaming her heartbroken announcement to  guests that the groom did not show up to their wedding yesterday.

Jutathip Nimnual, a 25-year-old from Ratchaburi province, has filed a police report demanding compensation from her fiancée, as the wedding reception had cost her family THB400,000 (US$12,000), reported Thairath.

The video of Jutathip bravely taking the stage alone to make the tearful announcement has been viewed more than 4 million times in the 24 hours since it was posted.

“I would like to thank all my guests for your support,” she begins with a wavering voice before continuing to thank her family, relatives and friends,. “I have performed my duty as a bride to the best of my ability today… I really didn’t foresee the situation I would have to be in today.”

Jutathip told reporters today that she got to know Pakhin Joonjerm, 18, on Facebook, and she fell for his good looks and their mutual interest in cars. They started dating and then decided to get married, Khaosod reported.

Here’s where things get a little weird (OK … more weird). Pakhin has gone public with his side of the story — explaining that they had only known each other for two months. Wait, what?

The 18 year old claimed that the pair went out to dinner after messaging each other for a week. The night ended with Pakhin and Juthathip having sex, after which he started distancing himself from her. (Shocking, we know.)

But then Jutathip hit him with the news that she was pregnant — this despite Pakhin’s claim that he used protection that night. Pakhin said he already has a new girlfriend yet was pressured by Jutathi’s family into saying yes to the marriage.

In the end, he decided to disappear the night before the wedding because they couldn’t agree on the dowry.

“I had already talked to Jutathip prior to this, that we’ve already broken up and I’m simply taking responsibility for her pregnancy claim,” Pakhim said. “We only dated for a month or so.”

Pakhin said that Juathip is aware of his current girlfriend. In fact, she has had many arguments with the girl.

And they lived happily ever after.
