The Asian Para Games closed today in Incheon, South Korea, and Thai athletes return home with a proud bounty of medals.
Wheelchair racer Pichaya Kuratanasiri was among the gold medalists who racked up 107 medals for the kingdom in seven days of competition, placing fifth in the medal count behind China, Korea, Japan and Iran.
This week’s event was the second Asian Para Games held following the first competition in 2010 in Guangzhou, China.
More than 4,000 athletes from 41 countries competed in 23 events this year.
