A taxi driver running a red light was found to be drunk and carrying a BB gun when he was pulled over in Thon Buri district this morning.
Somchai Charoenying, from Buri Ram, had no passengers when he was pulled over at the entrance of Taksin soi 34. At first, he refused to get out of his pink cab when the officers that pulled him over smelled alcohol.
Once he agreed, they searched the cab and found the BB gun inside a camouflage bag in the backseat.
He accompanied officers to the Bukkalo police station where he took a blood alcohol test. He was found to have triple the legal blood alcohol limit for safe driving, according the the Bangkok Post.
As he was still drunk, Somchai provided an unclear explanation of where he was going and why he was carrying the BB gun.
