Traffic violators will soon be able to pay off their ticket with credit cards under a new Land Traffic bill approved by officials yesterday.
The new bill, which was backed by 179 votes from the members of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), is aimed at enabling traffic violators to pay their tickets via electronic channels with credit cards or via other payment services.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Boonreung Pholpanich, an NLA member, voiced that the transaction fee, when paid with credit cards, should not exceed 3 percent. For other electronic payment services (such as convenience stores), the fee must be less than THB20.
The bill, which is yet to be drafted, will become effective within 60 days of being announced in the Royal Gazette, Post Today reported.
Or you can wait until the New Year’s sale.
