Suvarnabhumi International Airport has set up measures and provided extra staff to facilitate the increase of flights and passengers during the New Year’s holidays.
Suvarnabhumi is handling an approximate increase of 40 flights and 4,800 passengers per day during the holiday period and 21 airlines have requested to add 423 extra flights, Director Prapon Pattamakitsakul said yesterday.
To cope with the increase in passengers, Suvarnabhumi has provided more staff for the security checkpoint, baggage check, and to alleviate traffic within the airport.
Additional taxis have been added for passengers upon arrival, while departing passengers can leave their cars overnight at the long-term car park building for a fee, where a shuttle bus service to the terminal is available, state media reported.
Passengers can call the 24-hour AOT Contact Center 1772 for more information.
