Suthep promises to praydown police, shopdown malls on shutdown day

Protester in Chief Suthep Thaugsuban is showing his pious side.

The anti-government figurehead took to on the Ratchadamnoen stage last night to reveal the plan for peaceful resistance Monday and request security forces to do the same.

“I’d like to say if police do not start violence, there will not be violence,” Suthep said during his speech yesterday.

He added if the authorities try to break up the crowd, the protesters at seven spots are to sit down and pray for their opponents and remain nonviolent.

“We will practice praying in advance at every stage,” he explained. “If they come, we pray and take a photo for evidence. I have informed the nearby department stores that we are not going to burn them down, and we will even shop at the end of the day,” Sanook reported.

We cannot imagine the Man with the Golden Whistle wandering into H&M, but if he does, he will probably notify us all via his glorious Facebook page.
