Yesterday, Bangkok governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra denied another charge brought against him in relation to the expansion of the Skytrain system.
As with previous charges relating to this issue, Sukhumbhand insisted that the legal action was politically motivated.
This latest charge, read to Sukhumbhand and two of his deputies by the DSI’s Pol Lt Colonel Thawal Mangkhang, dealt with alleged conspiracy to operate the rail system without the authorization of the Interior Minister.
The Nation reports that Sukhumbhand threated to sue the DSI, if it continued to participate in behavior he characterized as bullying.
