Student shot dead at oyster shop

A 19-year-old man was gunned down last night at a fried oyster shop in Talat Phlu district.

The vocational school freshman, Jirameth Maboon, was shot in his chest with a 9mm pistol. He died instantly at the scene.

Jitdawan Thoobhom, the 43-year-old owner of the stall, told police that Jirameth and two other friends were eating at her shop while a group of four to five men approached and started firing bullets at them.

Investigators said that Jirameth might have engaged in previous fights with the rival group. Police are gathering more evidence to identify the culprits, Dailynews reports.
