Student rallies end without arrest

Pro-democracy students who rallied in protest of the military government during the past two days activists, who marched to police station yesterday, were able to get away with the rally to Democracy Monument yesterday evening.

Security forces monitored groups of students last night as they gathered at the Democracy Monument to sing songs, wave banner and give speeches, but did not take any into custody.

On Wednesday the students marched on a police station to complain of brutal treatment when they last rallied May 22. More than a hundred officers were fieled to block them from entering the station, but after some hours they did file their complaints.

It was unclear if further rallies were planned.
