Student arrested at Paragon theater for ‘Hunger Games’ salute

A student demonstrator was detained by Pathumwan police this afternoon for flashing the three-finger salute at Paragon Cineplex.

Natcha Kongudom, a student of Bangkok University, reportedly joined the League of Liberal Thammasat for Democracy at the theater to watch the latest Hunger Games movie which opened in theaters today.

The group was forced to move their protest to Siam Paragon instead of Scala Theater, which abruptly pulled the movie after word got out.

Natcha made the gesture in front of a poster for the movie at the theater, MThai reported.
