Former paratrooper and current golf star Thongchai Jaidee has taken the lead at the South African Volvo Golf Champions tournament, reports the Bangkok Post.
As of today, Thongchai leads the field with a seven-under-par score of 65. His closest rivals are two South African natives—Ernie Els and Louis Oosthuizen, who came in second and third, respectively.
If he takes top honors in the tournament it will be Thongchai’s sixth European Tour victory. Currently, the Thai golfer is ranked 80th in the world.
