World-famous English Premiere League football club Manchester United will play a friendly match against a team of Thai all-stars next year in Bangkok, Sports Authority of Thailand governor Kanokphan Julkasem said today.
“Man United will visit Thailand between July 10 and 27 next year but I cannot specify the exact date of the match yet,” Mr Kanokphan said according to the Bangkok Post.
Superstar strikers Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie will lead the team, as well as new Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa and Spanish keeper David de Gea.
“They will likely face the Thai Premier League All-Stars team at the Rajamangala National Stadium,” said Kanokphan.
Manchester United, probably the most popular football team in Thailand, will visit four countries on their Asian tour next year.
