Former England coach Eriksson takes job in Thailand

Famous football coach Sven Goran Eriksson has taken a job as technical director of Bangkok pro team BEC TERO Sasana.

Eriksson was introduced at a news conference at the team’s Thephassadin Stadium in Bangkok, where he will work with Robert Procureur of Belgium, who remains the coach and general manager of BEC. The contract only runs through the current Thai league season which ends in October, the AP reported.

Eriksson is most well known for coaching England’s national team – he also managed national teams for Mexico and the Ivory Coast as well as the English Permier League’s Manchester City.

“I’ve seen a few games of the Thai national team before. The standard is getting better and better. There are many good teams here it will be a nice experience for me,” he said.
