Chelsea to train in Thailand, play exhibition match

English Premier League football club Chelsea announced yesterday that it will stop by Thailand this summer to train and play an exhibition match against the Thai Premier League All-Stars XI.

Chelsea CEO Ron Gourlay said that a full roster of Chelsea players will be in Bangkok this summer, from July 12 to 18, and will play an exhibition match on July 17 at Rajamangala Stadium.

The match is taking place as part of Singha’s 80th birthday celebrations. Singha, which is a worldwide sponsor of Chelsea’s, is also bringing Manchester United to the Kingdom this summer for an exhibition match.

The Bangkok Post reports that tickets for the match are available for between THB800 and THB3,000 and can be purchased through Thai Ticket Major.
