Long ago, Thailand earned the nickname Land of Smiles for good reason.
This can be seen in the famous ‘60s sexpots of yore all the way back to the 19th century ladies of super-yore sporting their panung.
YouTube user Viktor Mukhin gave the montage treatment to a collection of vintage photos from a couple centuries ago through the 1970s, just to give an idea of what Thailand was like when women kept their sideburns curled and their hair silky black, before the internet made everything look like everywhere else.
These images could probably tell millions of words worth of stories, but we must settle for the mysteries offered by brief glimpses in the clip.
