Hundreds of thousands of jellyfish washed ashore yesterday onto Hua Hin’s popular beaches, prompting officials there to ban swimming.
Workers are clearing the stingy sacks of hurt from the beach, from the Saphan Pla fish market all the way to Kao Takiab Beach, while signs have been put up warning travelers of the deadly sea nettles, a type of jellyfish which can cause a serious burn.
The massive jellyfish pile-up was all caused by a shift in the wind, Thai PBS reported.
