A full, human skeleton was found in an abandoned well along Chaeng Wattana Road after some men drained it in hopes of catching some fish.
A group of mechanics working at an auto shop were surprised to find the skeleton, which was wearing a green vest and black shorts with a long crack and two holes in its skull. Police have yet to determine its gender.
According to the employees who found the body, the site used to be a deserted apartment building before it was turned into a car shop 10 years ago.
The mechanics had dropped some baby catfish into the well two months ago hoping to eat them when they got bigger. On Saturday, they’d decided it was time to fish them out and fry them up but instead they found the remains, so they alerted authorities.
It was unclear whether they still located and ate the fish.
Police will send the remains for an autopsy to identify the deceased, Kom Chad Luek reported.
