Six-year-old boy dies owing to fish ball stuck in throat

Yesterday, a six-year-old boy was pronounced dead at Bhumibol Hospital after suffering suffocation resulting from a two-centimeter-wide fish ball that had lodged in his throat.

Nutchana Thatpheenong, the mother of Chaiyasit Praditphong, told police that her son went to a noodle restaurant near her Sai Mai house with his grandfather in the afternoon. Shortly after that, she was alerted that her son could not breath and had fallen unconscious. Chaiyasit was rushed to the hospital but it was too late.

Chaiyasit’s body will be given an autopsy before being transferred to Pathum Thani for the funeral, Dailynews reported.
