Silom Splash! Water fighting to commence from noon until 8pm for Songkran

The main drag of Silom famous for becoming an all-out splash zone over the Songkran holiday will close to vehicles and open to splashers from noon until 8pm from Thursday until Saturday. However, a ban on booze, powder and high-power water guns is in effect.

Traffic will be stopped on the street until midnight to give everyone a chance to clear out after the 8pm stop time that officials have requested, reported Bangkok Post.

As has been widely reported, there will be no music stages or shows of any kind in observance of the passing of the late king.

The area is still expected to be packed and the part that is closed to traffic stretches from Sala Daeng intersection to Nararom intersection.

Also remember, sexy clothes, sexy dancing, and vehicles blasting music are also prohibited this year.
