After 14 years of providing Thai teens with American-style makeup tutorials and dorm room decor tips, Seventeen Thailand has decided to stop printing.
August 2016 will be the last issue of Seventeen Thailand — months before its license will expire at the end of this year.
It is reported that Media Transasia (Thailand), the company which operated Seventeen, did not sell enough advertisements to cover the magazine’s cost of production, according to Manager.

Its editorial team reportedly stopped working at the end of July.
Seventeen Thailand was first published in 2002, when fashion magazines were booming in Thailand — however, it began to suffer a decade later when the age of digital media and YouTube took over.
In April, Cosmopolitan Thailand also folded for the same reason. Another local magazine IMAGE, which was known for its beautiful editorial spreads, also stopped printing.
