Serial killer believed to be targeting homeless people

A serial killer is thought to be behind the murders of three homeless people over the past three days in the Thanyaburi district of Pathum Thani.

The third victim was found this morning on Phahon Yothin Road, close to Princess Mother National Institute for Drug Abuse Treatment.

The victim’s throat was slashed and he had been stabbed in the stomach and buttocks. His wrists were also bound with wire. His few belongings were closeby.

A Cambodian man that was fishing discovered the body of the victim, who has not yet been identified.

The first two victims were found on Tuesday and also discovered near the drug treatment center, bound in the same way with the same material. They appeared to be between 35 and 40 years old, reported Bangkok Post.

There was a male victim and a female victim. The male had cuts on his face and had been clubbed in the chin. The female had large cuts on her stomach and chest.

The Police Chief of Pratunam Chulalongkorn station, Pol. Col. Ariya Phanfak, announced today that all of the victims were homeless people and killed in similar enough ways to believe they were done by the same murderer.

He said that his officers were checking CCTV footage, questioning people and hoped to have a suspect soon.
