The nation is abuzz about a selfless Thai nurse who is believed to have rescued a German cyclist from death on Saturday.
The selfless act was caught on video which shows 39-year-old nurse Srikanya Chea-rob administering CPR on 49-year-old Gunter Retsch from Germany.

Srikanya, who works at Suratthani Hospital, said she was driving with her family to spend a day in town when she saw a foreigner waving for help, so she pulled over.
She witnessed Retsch, who was planning to cycle with a friend from Suratthani to Krabi until the incident happened midway, suffering a seizure.
After Gunter regained consciousness, he was sent to Suratthani Hospital, where doctors intend to keep him for around five days.
Even though Srikanya didn’t get to spend the day bonding with her family as planned, she said she was happy to help.
“It’s rare that my family gets together, but we decided to rescue the foreigner. It was a truly happy feeling to help out a fellow man during the New Year’s…although I wasn’t on duty,” Srikanya said.
The hospital has also given Srikanya an honorary plaque for her good deed, Thairath reported.
