Before they queue to sing their way through the list of songs which mark every school morning, students will have a new soundtrack to start their days.
Thailand’s top education official said she’s requested patriotic music from the military junta to play in schools throughout the kingdom.
Dr. Sutthasri Wongsamarn, Ministry of Education permanent-secretary, said she plans to obtain copies from the junta of the same music it played on television after seizing power last month. The songs will be played in all educational institutes in the morning before the line-up and lunch time.
Sutthasri said she was inspired by her own patriotic response to the music. She said students she asked reported feeling the same way, according to Kapook.
Meanwhile, if you’re roused by patriotic tunes, here’s some others to check out:
“Thai Ancestors”

“King Naresuan’s Soldiers”

“We Fight”
