The SangSom Six-red World Championship at the Montien Riverside Hotel has attracted a number of the world’s best snooker players past and present.
The star studded line up will be led by world No.1 Neil Robertson, world No.2 Mark Selby, world No.3 Judd Trump and former world professional champion and current world No.4 Shaun Murphy. Former world professional champions John Higgins, Mark Williams, Steve Davis and Ken Doherty are also booked to play at the event.
Sanctioned by World Snooker, the event offers a total purse of six million baht with the winner taking home two million baht. There will be 48 players including 16 professionals and eight Thai players
The Six-Red World Championship is a snooker tournament played with the six coloured balls and just six red balls.
Forty-eight players are divided into eight double-elimination groups, with the top four from each group progressing to the knockout stage.
The SangSom Six-red World Championship will run from September 2 to 7.
