Bangkok was in a dark place until superstar actor Russell Crowe came to remind it why it’s awesome. With a boyish delight, he has been everywhere and done everything from taking selfies with its iconic electrical tangles and reptilian residents to eating Michelin-starred street cuisine by Jay Fai.

While everyone’s basked in feeling “seen” by the 57-year-old, struggling business owners are cashing in by being seen “with” the Gladiator himself. Get in while the tide is still high, right?

This morning, it was Chinatown’s Teens of Thailand having fun by photoshopping Crowe into the bar to advertise its new kratom leaf menu.

Another business to appropriate Crowe’s overjoyed-to-be-here face was Freddie Rice Curry, which photoshopped Crowe to promote its five branches. At least they were honest about it:

“Thank you, Russell Crowe … who did not come to our restaurant.”

Though Crowe’s escapades on Twitter were limited to being “lost in Bangkok,” outlying provinces wanted to get their beaks wet as well. A darkroom in the central province of Chai Nat stamped Crowe’s now-iconic grin on its shop to promote its delivery service.

“Even though you cannot come to our shop, you can send slides to be developed here,” it wrote.

The actor arrived in Thailand via the Phuket Sandbox scheme two weeks ago, ostensibly to shoot The Greatest Beer Run Ever with Zac Efron. There’s been little sign of long production days in his feed however, which just last night was updated with No. 11 in his “Lost in Bangkok” series: a haunting sunset of high-power voltage towers and filthy pigeons.
