Free yourselves from labels, stereotypes, and body insecurities at Bangkok’s YOLO Run on September 10.
The run, whose name is short for “You only live once”, is held all over Southeast Asia, from Bangkok to Singapore to Hong Kong and features shirtless runners. It does not just celebrate life, but also encourages runners to “seize the day” and live life to the fullest.
It’s perfect for the young people who haven’t had their hopes and dreams crushed quite yet.
Organized and backed by Singapore-based garment manufacturer X-Change Republic any profits generated by shirtless runners will go towards charity.
For the ladies, you can wear a sports bra and still be counted as “shirtless.” Note that you don’t have to take it off if you don’t feel like it.
In addition, the organizer will donate THB80 to the Queen Sirikit Centre Breast Cancer Foundation for every person who participates.
To cool off, the race will end with a mass yoga session in the park.
Participants have a choice to run 5k or 10k. Early-bird registration is THB890 for the 5k race, and THB990 for the 10k until July 11. Tickets are available here.
