While Thailand social media loves to slam bad Bangkok taxi drivers, one cab-driving dude has shown the internet that they have to deal with stupid passengers too.
A dashcam video of a lady yelling at her taxi driver because he would not pass the yellow light went viral yesterday.
“Why did you stop? It was yellow light. If you want more fare. Just tell me! Is this how you scam passengers?” the lady said.
The driver proudly proudly points to his camera.
“Oh, we’ll see about that. You think I want more fare? It’s like THB2 a minute. I’ll post this video.”
When she tried to get out of the taxi without paying the fare, the driver insisted that she had to pay up, which pissed her off even more.
“I said it was yellow light! Yellow light! I drive, too. I know! It’s not like I’ve never ridden in a car before. Is this how you scam passengers? All taxis are the same,” she said.
The heated debate goes on to cover whether one should speed up or slow down at a yellow light and ends with her shoving her career achievement in his face.
“From now on, I’ll write about all taxis. I’m a journalist!”
All ends well with the taxi driver kicking her out off the car – after she paid the fare.
This type of lady in the video is commonly referred to as a Manud Pa in Thai, meaning a rude “auntie” who thinks she is more important than everyone else.
