It will no longer be cheaper to swipe through the BTS barrier with a Rabbit card as the company announced it will revoke discounted fares for the Rabbit cards and Sky Smartpasses at the end of this year.
The promotion for the two top-up cards, which allows commuters to save a few baht per trip, will end on Jan. 1.
“Normal fares for travel on the BTS line between Mo Chit and On Nut stations and between National Stadium and Saphan Taksin stations, ranging from THB15 – 42, will be applicable from Jan. 2, 2016 onwards,” the announcement said.
Meanwhile, the 30-day promotion, which allows BTS regulars to buy 15-50 trips for a lower price but which only lasts for 30 days, will continue.
