Lucky Dog: Rescuer to adopt pup fished from Thai gulf

No one knows where he came from or where he was going, but a dog rescued over 200 kilometers from the gulf shore has been getting lots of pets since he was pulled out of the water.

Days after the mystery doggy paddler swam up to a Chevron oil platform, the worker who led the rescue says he will adopt “Boonrod” and take him home with him to Khon Kaen.

Vitisak Payalaw wrote online that the dog, now called “Boonrod,” was ashore in Songkhla and being cared for by animal advocacy group Watchdog Thailand.
