Rediscover Rattanakosin nights atop free double-decker bus tours

With its distinctive architecture and landmarks, Rattanakosin Island is a favorite area to explore. For those who would like to do so without the heat and sweat, tourism officials are rolling out a new way to get around.

Both Thai and foreigner tourists looking to see Bangkok in a different light are invited to hop on the double-decker buses of the free City Night Tour every Friday and weekend evenings now through the end of September.

The 90-minute tour starts at 6:30 pm from the Travel Information office at Phra Arthit Road, next to the Phra Pinklao Bridge, where tickets are available starting at 1pm on tour days.

From the bus passengers will see architecturally and culturally significant landmarks such as the Phra Sumen Fort, Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, Golden Mount Temple, Democracy Monument, Giant Swing, Old Siam Plaza  and The Emerald Buddha Temple.

Call 022-257-6125 for more information or to check availability. Reservations cannot be made by phone, however.
