1. BTS operator declares war on affection, vows to kick kissers off trains

After the release of a video of a tomboy arguing with cultural conservatives on the BTS skytrain about making out on the skytrain, the BTS operator moved to ban public displays of affection on the train.
2. The Super Auntie: Latest stereotype celehates the imperious aunties of Bangkok

Who could forget the Super Aunties or Manud Pa who take advantage of practically everyone while thinking that the world revolves around them? Who could forget those vicious postmenopausal women who are somehow always the first one to board the BTS/MRT trains because they have a special line for them right in the middle?
3. German beggar spends donated cash drinkin’ and partyin’ in Pattaya

And the Biggest Douche of the Year award goes to Benjamin Holst, a German beggar found on Khao San Road who became infamous for taking donations to send him home to Pattaya. Days after receiving THB50,000, he was seen blowing his load on women and alcohol with no regrets.
4. Students rage at Chinese girl for cosplaying as hot Thai student on Chiang Mai campus

Two chinese tourists were blasted by Chiang Mai University students for wearing their uniform whilst snogging throughout the campus. Inconsiderate much? The uniform is a special privilege for the students and shouldn’t be treated as a tourist attraction, some said.
5. ‘Tanman’ saves school band’s dream with his superpower: lots of cash

Seen here is Khun Tan, or Ichitan’s CEO, being exploited for his rich man’s generosity by helping a bunch of high school kids save their “dream” of competing in an international drumline competition in Ohio. He forked over THB3.1 million so they could book flights, while society condemned the band for being shameless. Ichitan is not an NGO.
6. Fatness, politics, and weeping: This year’s scandalicious Miss Thailand Universe

After the Miss Thailand Universe pageant, many Thais were outraged that 22-year-old Weluree “Fai” Disayabut was crowned the winner. She was deemed to be too “fat” by Thais and became the head topic for many parody pictures concerning the size of her thighs. Classy stuff, people. She also said some pretty nasty stuff that didn’t go over too well.
7. Bomb Tanin admits to being secret ex-boyfriend of Focus’ love scandal rant

“Love brings my life down,” said Bomb Tanin, an actor infamous for his relationship scandal with Focus Jeerakul. Everyone must have seen the video of television’s sweetheart Focus ranting about her relationship with Bomb Tanin which led to him saying some pretty stupid things in interviews about their relationship. Not that his acting is much better.
8. Superstar ‘Janie’ mum on graphic pics and domestic violence rumors

Our country’s beloved actress, Janie, was seen all bruised up after a suspected argument with her then newly wed husband, Chonsawat “Ae” Asavahame. The couple stirred up all sorts of controversies throughout the year especially with Chonsawat’s ex-wife Nantida Kaewbuasai. Janie and Ae’s marriage came to an end after less than a year.
9. National Taekwondo coach pleased as punch to stay in S. Korea after assault accusation

Thailand’s national taekwondo coach, Coach Choi was accused of punching his understudy, Rungrawee Kurasa, after failing to arrive to the stadium on time to compete. He said he did it out of love. She said he physically assaulted her. Most everyone lined up behind the coach.
10. K-Flop: More outrageous outrage after Asian Games host bills Thailand for damage

Following a ton of drama after Thailand’s controversial exit from the Asian Games came even more drama. Accusations of cheating and disrespecting the Thai flag were followed by a bill from the games organizers’ for THB176,000 in damages to the rooms Thai athletes stayed in, when the most noticeable damage done to the room was one cigarette burn left on the window of a badminton players’ room.
