Looking for something interesting to read but lack cash for the bookstore?
You can exchange all the heated, sordid and enlightening words you want at The Reading Room’s “Text-Swap Party,” a collaborative project by artist Stephanie Syjuco.
Participants are invited to bring text files in any genre – arts and culture, literature, sociopolitics, history, fiction or comics – and any language (We suggest Thai or English) to swap with others.
Also, The Reading Room will make available to visitors all 118 books from the artist’s “Free Texts” project, which invites the public to become willing participants in piracy via printed URLs to illegally uploaded works.
Organizers request that participants bring their own thumb drives and protection safe swapping: scour with some anti-virus beforehand.
