Locals in Ayutthaya caught three monster snakehead fish yesterday March 19, the largest measuring over 150kg and 2.3 meters long.
Residents have flocked to see the fish with their own eyes and ask the giant fellows for winning lottery numbers. They are being kept in a small pond for now.
Cherng Saisi, a 60-year-old from Wang Noi District in Ayutthaya Province, caught the fish with seven other friends yesterday, TANN reported. The group usually fishes together to feed their families and make a little money. The smallest fish they caught that day was 30kg, the next biggest was 70kg, and the real whopper was 150kg, with a circumference of 1.17 meters and a length of 2.3 meters.
Cherngsi has already reportedly agreed to sell the smallest fish for THB12,000 and the largest for THB40,000.
Not a bad day’s haul for the old man.
