Here’s another thing to look forward to when passing through Suvarnabhumi Airport : clean toilets.
Earlier this month, the Ministry of Public Health accorded Suvarnabhumi Airport the Health, Accessibility and Safety (HAS) award for having standard-compliant clean toilets. Deputy Health Minister Dr. Suwit Konsomboon said that majority of visitors to the airport consider having clean toilets as points for customer satisfaction.
The campaign for clean toilets in public places was launched in Thailand in 2005 and since then 22 places have received the HAS award.
Airports of Thailand President Somchai Sawasdipol for his part said that complying with standard clean toilets is part of the bigger plan to win the world’s best airport title.
Suvarnabhumi Airport not only has spotlessly clean toilets at all hours, it also has toilets for people with disability and the elderly. The restrooms are also fitted with a diaper changing area, NNT reported.
The Ministry of Public Health released a list of the cleanest bogs in the Thailand earlier this year. Bangkok toilets that made it to the upper echelon of cleanliness included those at Central World shopping center and Suan Luang Rama IX Park.
