Indian gangsters muscling in on Bangkok Underworld

Indian organized crime groups – having already conquered the mean streets of Mumbai – are now moving in on Bangkok turf in increasing numbers.

Virtually, that is.

Indeed, Indian social game maker Ibibo has launched Bangkok Underworld, a continuation of its popular Mumbai Underworld title. Players who have beaten Mumbai Underworld’s 15 levels can now access Bangkok Underworld, where they start with a THB20,000 nest egg to build into an illegal empire, the Hindustan Times reports.

Underground business ventures available for players include the Yang Smoke Shop, Michelle Massage Parlour, Phuket smuggling port, and Patpong Dance bars.

This might be a case of game imitating life actually, as high profile Mumbai gangster Santosh Shetty – wanted for several murders, including some in Thailand – was captured in Bangkok and extradited back to India in August.
