The world-renowned ramen store has arrived in Bangkok, and it is nestled within that new gargantuan shopping spire otherwise known as Central Embassy.
Established in 1985 by Shigemi Kawahara, Ippudo’s flagship store was located in Hakata, Japan’s purported ramen capital. Kawahara is dubbed the “Ramen King,” after topping the Ramen King championships thrice.
With over 120 branches worldwide, Ippudo is best-known for is tonkotsu, or pork-based ramen.
