Fukui University in Japan
Earlier this week, Japan’s Fukui University of Technology opened an ASEAN office in Bangkok with the goal of helping students from the ASEAN countries pursue education in Japan.
The Nation reports that Fukui University will allow accepted students a year of Japanese instruction before they travel Eastwards to complete their educations. The University has elected to open a Bangkok office so that it may train Thai students to work with Japanese companies doing business in the region.
Etsuo Matsuura, manager of Fukui’s Bangkok office, said that the University would begin accepting applications from Thai students beginning this May.
Fukui University is known for its Applied Nuclear Technology Department, as well as its computer and mechanical engineering programs.
Those interested in applying can check out Fukui’s website.
