A condom broke with deadly consequences for a prison inmate on Friday.
Anukul Pasuk, 33, died in his cell at a Nakhon Ratchasima province prison when a condom containing amphetamines burst inside his stomach.
A doctor later found 20 bags of meth-stuffed condoms in the stomach of Anukul, who had just begun serving a life sentence on a drug-related conviction.
The authorities found one more bag containing nine grams of speed in Anukul’s room, which they assumed had successfully navigated his rectum.
The meth has an estimated value of THB8-10 million and topped the amount of drugs smuggled by stomach on record. Authorities assume he planned to sell the meth in prison, Kapook reported.
