Prepare for a very stormy, slippery week

A wet week is in the works as monsoon forces driven by Typhoon Kalmaegi are expected to soak the capital.

Rainfall is expected to peak Wednesday and continue through Sunday covering 90 percent of Bangkok after Kalmaegi hit the Philippines early this morning and is moving toward the South China Sea, according to the Meteorological Department.

Weather forecasts put rain today and tomorrow at 60 percent, with 90 percent rainfall on Wednesday.

As ever, low-lying portion of the capital could suffer flooding and road closures.
