Pregnant buffalo burnt in fire alive and recovering

Heart-warming tear-jerker of the day – A pregnant female buffalo who was severely burnt in a fire is alive and recovering thanks to generous netizen donations and the efforts of volunteers.

Noi the buffalo was chained in her Ubonratchathani stable when a fire started in the structure. Tongsai Sangsawang, Noi’s owner, said he found her moaning in pain and managed to rescue the nine-month pregnant buffalo.

Noi was severely injured with her back totally burnt and a part of her head burned to the skull. She also lost both ears. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Noi managed to recover thanks to the a slew of donations from netizens. Thai celebrity Bhin Banleurit made a point of highlighting the buffalo’s plight by volunteering to take care of the animal. The Ruamkatanyu Foundation and Department of Livestock Development are even building the animal a new stable and will heal Noi’s wounds.

Tongsai thanked the generous volunteers and donators who help out his injured animal, Komchadluek reported.
