PM Prayuth Chan-ocha said that his recent phone chat with U.S. President Donald Trump was a step toward elevating Thailand’s relations with the U.S. in all dimensions while maintaining Thailand’s peaceful way of solving issues.

Prayuth revealed details of the phone conversation with Trump, who called the junta leader on April 30. He said that Trump complimented the work of the Thai government and that the two leaders discussed trade, relations, and the Korean Peninsula situation.

Apparently, the two hit it off so well that they decided they should take their blossoming rapport to the next level and meet IRL.

They ended the conversation by extending mutual invitations. Prayuth accepted Trump’s invite to visit the White House but it is unknown if Trump will visit the Land of Smiles.

We can only hope.
