Royal Thai Army Commander-in-Chief Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha, who deposed civilian leadership and leads Thailand’s ruling military junta can add another title to his belt: prime minister.
Prayuth today was unanimously appointed by the unelected legislative body he appointed. His was the only name up for consideration.
Prayuth will be recorded as the kingdom’s 29th prime minister, the 17th to hold rank in the military.
