Prayuth moves to quell fears over travel to Thailand

In the wake of the bombing at Erawan shrine last week, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has moved to reassure the international community that it is safe for foreigners to visit Thailand.

Prayuth said the government is now in control of the situation after the bomb attack and security has been stepped up, with plainclothes and uniformed officers stationed across the capital to ensure the safety of visitors and locals.

Foreigners visiting Thailand for whatever purpose will be safe during their time in the country, he said.

Not only has the prime minister ensured the safety of all visitors, they will also be greeted with warm smiles, they will forge new friendships and experience the generosity of the Thai people, reported Thai PBS.
